Outage for January 2023 Quarterly Release Implementation
National Government Services, Inc. Common Electronic Data Interchange (CEDI) will bring down the CEDI Gateway and CEDI Claims Portal at 3:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 30, 2022 until no later than 11:59 p.m. ET to implement updates for the January 2023 Quarterly Release. During this time, CEDI customers will not be able to connect and exchange transactions with CEDI. This will allow CEDI to process all inbound files received through 3:00 p.m. ET on December 30, 2022. Once the January 2023 effective updates have been installed and verified, the CEDI Gateway and CEDI Claims Portal will be brought back up for CEDI customers to resume exchanging transactions with CEDI.

Suppliers, billers, and vendors: Certificates of medical necessity (CMNs) and the durable medical equipment (DME) information forms (DIFs) are discontinued effective January 1, 2023. As a result, CEDI will reject claims submitted with CMN and DIF forms or their electronic claim data elements with claims for dates of service on or after January 1, 2023.
