All Trading Partners must use a Network Service Vendor to connect to the CEDI sFTP Gateway to exchange any of the following transactions – X12 837 claims, NCPDP claims, X12 276/277 Claim Status Request/Claim Status Response, X12 835 Electronic Remittance Advice, and the associated response transactions and reports. Network Service Vendors provide a faster and more reliable connection in a secure environment.

Internet Gateway Information
CEDI also offers the CEDI Internet Gateway supporting the CAQH CORE Phase I, II and III Operating Rules for batch 276/277 and 835 transactions per the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Change Request (CR) 9358. It provides an internet connection with CEDI to submit X12 276 Claim Status Request files and retrieve X12 835 Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and 277 Claim Status Responses without the use of a Network Service Vendor (NSV).
